Indonesia Population 2011

The population of Indonesia is 237.6 million, with population growth still high at 1.9 percent. 58% living on the island of Java, the world’s most populous island. Despite a fairly effective family planning program that has been in place since the 1960s, the population is expected to grow to around 254 million by 2020 and 288 million by 2050.

Philippines Population 2011

The first official census in the Philippines was carried out in 1877 and recorded a population of 5,567,685. By 2009, the Philippines has become the world’s 12th most populous nation, with a population of over 92 million. It is estimated that half of the population resides on the island of Luzon. There are about 11 million Filipinos outside the Philippines.
